WEEK 11-30

Here is a little background on my start with Cruise Planners and the world of travel and making dream vacations reality.

I worked for a company for three years and we had a falling out; my husband and I then decided I would stay home for awhile and handle stuff there. With that being said, I am not the type of gal who can sit idle for long. We don't have kids so I really didn't have much to fill my time. It was us and our old dog at home. I happened across a job position with a cruise line in March of 2022 and applied, but I didn't expect much because I thought it was more of a scam or not truly a work from home position. However, it turned out to be very real and so I went through with the hiring process. All of equipment got delivered, I went through the training, and I officially started working for them in May of 2022. In September of 2022 I transferred to a different department called, 'groups."

That is where I got, "The Call." The call that would change my career and ignite a new passion. The call was from a cruise planners advisor who had been with them for over 25 years and absolutely loved the company and the life she has due to it. She then proceeded to tell me all about the company, she gave my the websites, and Facebook pages for me to look at. After that I was hooked, I spent the next few weeks researching and picking the brains of any advisor I talked with; I asked them their pros and cons of the business. I finally reached out to the recruiting department and that's when I spoke with Katja who graciously welcomed to this family. For a few weeks we emailed back and forth and then I was sent the franchise packet. You then have 15 days to review and decide if you are going to fully commit financially and professionally. They truly want you to take your time and fully understand what it is you are taking on. I found this to be very comforting in the sense that they are not pushing you to buy it just for the sale. I then spent the next two weeks going over everything and having those closest to me read it.

November 30th, was my final day to sign and so I did. I paid the fees for the franchise and I did it all on my own. HOLY MOLY was this a huge step in my life, to say I was nervous, anxious, and scared... well that would be an understatement. However, it was done and there was no turning back now, my next adventure was just beginning.
